 Each email that you receive is taken through a filtering process, where spam can be identified and blocked according to their threat level.
Vade Retro’s ability to filter spam is constantly refined thanks to a combination of the following state of the art technology:
 Heuristic rules: based on constant observation of messages and techniques used by spammers.
Semantic analysis: used to identify the vocabulary, topics or expressions used by spammers and compare them to a directory of characteristic elements.
Counterattack technique: employed to identify and nullify schemes used by spammers in order to bypass spam filters.
HTML code analysis: the mail is analysed in order to compare it to code commonly used by spammers. Additionally, Vade Retro analyses the size of attached images. These two methods combined are particularly efficient to fight spam.
Antiscam: scams are commercial mails, generally asking the receiver for false investement. Scams use a particular format which is well known to Vade Retro, making it able to easily identify and block all scam mail.
Automatic detection: fake messages often have a virus attached, automatic detection is used to identify and remove them safely.
